What a beautiful last week of school we have had leading up to the Holiday Break. School resumes Tuesday, January 7, 2020. **Kindergarten AM does not attend on Friday, January 10, 2020 - please note that it will be a 3 day week for us.
We say goodbye to our beloved elf, Helpy who has encouraged us to be kind, helpful and caring to each other and our community. Ask me what Helpy asked me to do this week. (share; do my best during the concert performance; share a story; be helpful and kind every day of the year without being asked.) We were challenged to find magic in our every day lives.
The holiday concert was super successful - thank you to everyone who was able to join us (whether for the 1pm performance or the 6pm, or both.) It was so lovely getting to connect with you as well as your extended family members. Our kindergarteners are very lucky to be surrounded by people who care about them so much! A massive thank you goes out to all the volunteers that helped make our holiday concert, merry and bright! We couldn't have done it without you!
I feel endless amounts of gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support I have received these past 4 months. I couldn't be happier to be continuing the school year together with your child. The bonds we have built are so strong and I am thrilled to be able to continue to cement them in 2020. I have so many things to be grateful and joyous for this holiday season!
Veterans Food Bank Drive
Wow! What an outpouring of generosity we experienced from the Sibbald community. Thank you to all the food donations that were sent in throughout the course of our drive. We were able to donate 10 large boxes full of food. The families that are a part of Andrew Sibbald School have a huge heart! Thank you again for all the donations - there are many people who will not go without this holiday season!
Glenbow Museum - Feild Trip - Friday, January 17, 2020
We will be going on a field trip to the Glenbow Museum on Friday, January 17, 2020. Field trip permission forms will go home the first day back in January. Forms need to be fully completed, signed and returned to school as soon as possible. A massive thank you goes out to the volunteers who have already committed to joining us, as well as Stacey Ceuric for helping organize the volunteers for the trip! We couldn't do this without your help and support. Thank you!!
